Client Compatibility

A Modern Day Business Dating Guide

Not All Roads Lead to Your Happiness . . .

Successful pairings, in love or in business, require many of the same elements: shared goals, good communication, the right resources and a sense of humor.

Please spend a few minutes and take our client compatibility survey. This quiz will help you determine whether you and ARCHER JORDAN are a good match. Importantly, can we help you reach your goals and have a good time along the way? The five questions below can help answer that question.

“Candor is a compliment; it implies equality. It is how true friends talk.”

—Peggy Noonan

1. Are you monogamous or do you like to play the field?

We work better with people who are monogamous; individuals who want to develop a close working relationship and create shared goals. To do the best job, we need to know you, your business and your industry. That takes time and focus. At ARCHER JORDAN, most of our client relationships are ongoing, and long-term.

Of course, we’re open to shorter-term relationships, if that’s what the situation requires. We understand you may have a project (risk management assessment, benefits and/or population health management assessment on a fee basis) or weeks of intensive crisis management. However long the relationship lasts, we’ll do our best to be a great partner.

2. Are you a smart client?

At ARCHER JORDAN, we’re a kind of particular about whom we work with. Our clients are smart business people and decent human beings. They are CEOs, small business owners, law enforcement professionals, farmers, rocket scientists, investment bankers, logisticians, lawyers and highway builders. Smart clients mean we need to be better than the competition and attract people who can hold their own with smart clients (the majority of our team has advanced degrees). Smart clients appreciate a firm that pushes them to the limit. And in turn, they add their knowledge, experience, and network to our firm. It’s a perfect symbiotic relationship.

3. Is a relationship important to you?

At ARCHER JORDAN we like to spend time getting to know our clients. The best clients tend to be the ones who can pass the “cocktail test.” At a pitch, we always ask ourselves, “Would we want to have a drink with that client?” It’s unfortunate that the new business paradigm often does not allow enough time for a client to really get to know their consultant, and determine whether the chemistry is a good fit for both parties. If a relationship is important to you, you’ve come to the right place.

4. Do you believe in candor?

“Candor is the least-used weapon in business.”

—Jack Welch

We agree with Jack. At ARCHER JORDAN we encourage clients to be as candid as they can at all times, especially if it’s something you think we don’t want to hear. And we will be candid with you. Our best clients appreciate this kind of open, honest relationship.

5. Do the words “direct, quick-witted and intuitive” appeal to you?

ARCHER JORDAN’s brand personality is direct, quick-witted and intuitive. That means we put great emphasis on creativity and candor, speed and smarts, and definitely, fun. If this brand personality appeals to you, we might be a fit.

6. How do you feel about a diverse team?

The way we see it, it’s a big world with all sorts people. At ARCHER JORDAN, we are open-minded and diverse. We pull the best talent from across all disciplines to develop solutions for our clients. They are from all nations, educational backgrounds and tend to be highly individualistic. Our commonality is in our love of the business and our spirit to succeed and never accept defeat.

We are crazy for meeting new, fun, and smart clients!
